Gill How / Strengths Consultancy Associate

Hello I’m Gill How and my background is business improvement from implementing IT systems, with British Gas and Digital Equipment (now Hewlett Packard).  However I found I enjoyed people aspects of change the most, bringing people together to work collaboratively to create solutions, and also coaching leaders of change programmes.

During the last 8 years, I have enlarged my approach to include appreciative inquiry, positive psychology and strengths tools and thinking. In practical terms this means that I love to work with leaders and executives to:

  • Help develop “inside-out” capability which emphasises natural strengths and energisers, and accepts weaknesses and drainers (and all the other things in-between!)
  • Deliver leadership development programmes and qualifications with explicit reference to making the most of strengths – in self, team and organisation.

My first degree is in Physics from Imperial College and I have an MBA from Cranfield. I am a qualified and accredited Executive Coach and Strengths Practitioner.

Clients and colleagues say I am incisive, innovative and interested in their development.  Oh, and that I tell good stories too!
